SHROUD
The Story of SHROUD

A room for slow evenings and honest cooking.

SHROUD began as an intimate gathering in a SoHo artist loft and grew into a permanent home on Greene Street. Our conviction has never wavered: the great dishes of the American canon, prepared with restraint and served in a space that honors the evening.

Culinary Standards

What We Hold To

  • Cooked Over Hardwood Fire

Prime cuts and heritage chops are dry aged in our dedicated cellar and finished over an open hardwood hearth.

  • Sourced Close to Home

Heirloom produce arrives weekly from Hudson Valley and New Jersey organic growers; coastal fish from Maine day boats.

  • Designed for Lingering

Low amber light, bespoke acoustic dampening, deep leather booths and an American cellar built to complement wood-fired dining.

Hearth to Residence

From our kitchen to your table, or your door.

Every dish served in our dining room is available for temperature-controlled delivery or host stand pickup. Hand-packed with bespoke containers by the same brigade that plates for the room.
